Xin Zhang, born in 1978, based in Beijing.

She graduated from Tsinghua University in 2003, obtaining both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in Chinese Literature.

In 2015, she embarked on her creative journey.

Xin's artistic practice delves deeply into the profound existential states of human beings, emphasizing the light of human nature. This exploration serves as a vivid and introspective spiritual mirror, reflecting her own unique and transformative personal life experiences. In her works, by incorporating abstract textures through action painting techniques, she situates characters within abstract and postmodern settings.

2025

Xin Zhang has been invited to participate in the 15th Florence Biennale and will exhibit four artworks (Italy).

Her work was exhibited in the Asian Emerging Artist List Hong Kong Exhibition, organized by the Asian Academy of Arts (Hong Kong,China).

2024

The artist signed with Artifact Project (New York) and participated in the Art Upclose online exhibition (New York, USA).

Her work was published in Artnews’s Top 200 Collectors special issue.

Her work was shortlisted for the Asian Emerging Artist List Shanghai Exhibition by the Asian Academy of Arts (Shanghai, China)
