Xin Zhang began painting in 2015 and is self-taught. She is based in Beijing.

Xin Zhang has been a devoted Christian for over 15 years, and her faith is her motivation.

In 2011, she visited Italy for nearly a year, exploring 16 cities and towns to view original religious art from the Byzantine to the Baroque period.

In her own work, she places her characters in abstract and postmodern situations, while simultaneously emphasizing the light of humanity through their faces.

In 2024, Xin Zhang's work will be featured in the Florence International Annual Art Exhibition, titled 'RETURN TO THE LOSTLAND,' organized by Comune Di Firenze and Associazione Nazionale di Belle Arti d’Italia, and hosted at Isolart Gallery and Cartavetra Gallery in Florence, Italy.

In 2023, her artwork was acquired by the Beijing Religious Culture Research Association.

Additionally, she participated in the Florence Contemporary Art Exchange Exhibition titled 'Identity Cycle,' held at Isolart Gallery and Vittoni Space in Florence, Italy.

In 2022, her work was exhibited in 'Nocturne Rive Droite 2022' at Francis Barlie Gallery in Paris, France.’

In the same year, her another work was in Super Critical State (by Freezing Fog)' at MP Birla Millennium Gallery in London, UK.

In 2021, her work was represented by Alessandro Berni Gallery in Italy, which has since closed.

In 2020, she was part of the 4th Edition of the Prisma Art Prize online exhibition in Italy.

She also donated a piece for an online charity sale organized by Artron's art network, which was successfully sold.

In 2019, her work was showcased at the Tank Shanghai Festival in Shanghai, China."
